Little bit about me!

Well seeing as how you have made it this far I take it that you want to see what I am all about. Well I am Jeff, I first got here for DTS in July of 2005.  I had a totally amazing time at RTO.  God Showed up and really touched my heart.  I realized that there was so much more to Him then just going to church and being good.  I saw that God loves me very passionately, and He wants to be in relationship with me, that He sent Jesus to restore that bond that Adam and Eve broke when they ate the apple.  I have discovered a whole new life, nothing like the old life I had.  I praise the Lord that I have this chance to live in Australia for at least the next 5 years, and to step into all that God has for me!  Right now I don't have a major vision, but I know that I want to disciple young people.  I want to see them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ; I want to see them grow in using their spiritual gifts.  I also have a big passion for Drums!  I have played drums for 11 years, and I have never gotten tired of them.  I also have a passion to speak in front of people.  I have a few passions, and I can't wait to see how God will mold me into what He needs me to be.  I believe that God has given me these passions, and while I need to give them to God so that these passions wouldn't be driving me, I know that God will use them sometime in my future.  Stay tuned for more info...

Why Australia?

Well I have been asked this question before.  I suppose that anything I do in Australia I could do in the states, with a few exceptions.  I would live in a country that I know a lot about, I could simply go home when I needed to, a simple 5 hour flight from almost anywhere in the US would get me home, save Hawaii and Alaska, lets not be silly!  Well I am in Australia because this is where the Lord has called me.  I know that I heard the voice of the living God tell me to move to Australia for 5 years.  So I am here, since being here I have discovered a few more reasons why I need to be here.  There are people in Australia that I need to be around, People that can speak into my life.  There are people whom I will help, encourage, challenge, and hopefully be-friend.
This is a beautiful country.  It is very diverse.  I can walk 45 minutes to the beach a very beautiful beach, drive a few hours north and go to the rain forest or drive a few hours east, inland, to go to the outback.  I am in a prime spot for sight seeing, but more importantly for spreading the gospel.  The people in Australia are awesome.  They hear the American accent and just start talking.  I love to talk to the people here, they always want to know what it is like in San Francisco, No one knows Livermore, and so San Francisco will have to do!  I get to share about my home, and then I get to share about my God, and His amazing love that He has for that person.
